The Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN) and the Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification Board (MSNCB) encourage you to take the time to show your colleagues and patients your commitment to excellence in medical-surgical nursing practice.
Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) is the earned credential that recognizes that the highest standards of medical-surgical nursing practice have been achieved. You can become certified by successfully completing the MSNCB examination. The MSNC Board exists to establish credentialing mechanisms for validating proficiency in medical-surgical nursing. The CMSRN certification program is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification.
2010 CMSRN Exam Registration Now Available! Interested in taking the CMSRN exam? If so, MSNCB has an exciting choice for you. Paper and Pencil (P&P), or Computer-Based Testing (CBT). The national P&P exam will be given at over 50 permanent testing sites around the country. CPT exams can be scheduled at a time that works best for you. Apply for the CBT exam, and once approved, test within a 90-day window! Applications can be completed by mail or online.
