Family Movie Night

Cancer Care Services, which provides financial, emotional, spiritual and social assistance to cancer patients and their families, is seeking volunteers for its Family Movie Night. Volunteers will assist with setup, clean-up, serving and other activities as needed.

Sew Things Up!

IntegraCare Hospice, which seeks to improve patients’ quality of life by providing the highest level of health care services, is seeking volunteers to make crocheted, knitted and sewn booties, caps and blankets for its hospice patients. Volunteers may work from home or in IntegraCare Hospice facility. Some materials may be provided.

Nature Assistants

The River Legacy Foundation, which strives to preserve and enhance land along the Trinity River, is looking for volunteers to educate and assist the friends and visitors of River Legacy. Volunteers will meet and greet visitors, answer phones, help out at gift shop and share information about River Legacy and its programs.

Volunteer Guardian

Guardianship Services, Inc., which provides guardianship services to incapacitated individuals with no family to take over as guardian, is looking for volunteers to serve in that capacity. Volunteer guardians receive training about legal guardianship and how to advocate for their client’s best interests, working with case managers to ensure that the client’s needs are met. Training begins in January. Minimum age to volunteer is 21.

Resale Shop Help

Sadie’s Resale, benefiting Metroport Meals On Wheels, needs a few good volunteers with a positive attitude to work in their shop that supports a meals on wheels program. Minimum age is 16.
